Over 25 housing professionals joined our Revive seminar

19/06/2019

Our very first Revive Seminar, held last week in Luton, was a success! Over 25 professionals, from local authorities, housing associations and other organisations, attended to hear how survivors of Domestic Abuse can be relocated to a new home via our Revive project.

Project manager, Brenda Fraser, described several different case studies of women fleeing domestic violence who were successfully rehoused. Our guest speakers included Patrick Odling-Smee, Service Director of Housing from Luton Borough Council, who spoke about the link between homelessness and domestic abuse and the lack of affordable housing, and Gudrun Burnet, Senior Partner at Peabody and Co-founder DAHA, who explained how DAHA works and steps the housing sector can follow to provide a better response to domestic abuse.
